"The Birdrocks"

Cannon Beach, Oregon, has been among my favorite painting destinations. Just as I set up to paint the Birdrocks I realized that the storm was rapidly moving in. I nevertheless went ahead without pausing to allow the paper to dry as you can see from the numerous backruns. The result is a raw watercolor but it fits the storm very well I find.
