"Faucon"

Faucon is a provençal village in the southern part of the Drôme department. This watercolor, painted on an early september '97 morning,was almost done when I decided I was not too happy with the result. While it was still damp, I poured water over it, brushed most of the colors away with a sponge and repainted it over. That technique and its variations, like plunging the watercolor in the water and scrubbing it, has helped me save many paintings.
