" The Dolzer farm"

My wife's sister Louise Lapointe and her husband Hubert Manner live in a 15th century house in St-Oswald, a village situated in Karinthia, Austria. Danielle and I had the priviledge of enjoying their warm hospitality in the fall of 1996. Hubert guided me in a tour of the farms around St-Oswald and his consumate knowledge of their history, which goes back to 500 years ago for most of them, made a deep impression on me. Dolzer, viewed from a hill above in this watercolor sketch , is one of these farms.
